Default BMW S1000RR Race Bike for Sale $30,000

The bike has never been crashed. Located at RidersDiscount.com headquarters in Holland, Michigan, interested parties should contact TJ at 866.931.6644 x 817.
Weight: 360lbs without fuel
Power: 204hp with VP MR-12
Mileage: 1,154 miles
Asking $30,000 with clean title.

The 2010 RidersDiscount.com BMW S1000RR Project Bike is for sale! This is the same bike that Jake Holden chose to ride over our own Yamaha YZF-R1 at Laguna Seca earlier this year. During that weekend, Jake qualified in eighth position, less than one-tenth off Larry Pegram’s BMW and in front of the other four BMW's on the grid - all with very little seat time on the bike!

This machine has been equipped with the best of everything from the wheels up, assembled and maintained with meticulous attention to detail by the RidersDiscount.com staff. Weighing in at 360lbs dry, suspension has been set up for AMA-spec Dunlop Superbike slicks by AMA Tuner James Compton using Traxxion Dynamics AK-Gas fork internals and a Penske Racing shock. To make it easier to work on the bike, where possible, most pieces of OEM TORX hardware were replaced with titanium pieces from Pro-Bolt. This includes engine cases, radiator bolts, fairing bolts, subframe hardware, front and rear axle nuts and much more. The bike has passed AMA American SuperBike tech inspection and has every bolt drilled for safety wire as required by AMA and WERA rules.

Before the bike was prepared for track duty, it was run-in on the street for the first 600 miles and then serviced as directed by BMW. After the break-in restrictions were eliminated, the bike started off strong, producing 182hp on a SuperFlow Dynomometer burning 89 octane pump gas. We then sent the ECU to be re-programmed for race use by BMW Motorrad in Germany as this allowed us to remove all street-going components, including most of the ABS system, while not having to worry about warning lights or other error codes being displayed on the dash. At that point, the bike made a total of 204hp on the same dyno running VP MR-12 fuel with a custom PC-V map. The PC-V was also mapped on the same day for AMA-spec Sunoco GTX260, which produced 194hp at the wheel. Both maps will be furnished to the new owner.

In the interest of durability, and the fact that the S1000RR made a fantastic amount of power in a smooth, very linear fashion before, and after tuning – we opted to leave well enough alone. In other words, the engine cases have never been opened. The end result is a motorcycle that has proven to be nothing but reliable through and through. After every weekend, brake fluid and engine oil were replaced with Brembo HTC 64T and Motul 300V, respectively. The cooling system is filled using de-ionized water with Redline Water Wetter additive. The bike has a total of 1,154 miles on it, the first ~600 of which, are from the street. Everything has been wrapped in SharkSkinz bodywork with a RidersDiscount.com custom paint job by Andrew Swesnson Design.

A total $26,121.08 in top-shelf aftermarket parts alone, grace this BMW S1000RR for a total retail value of $42,851.08 before taxes and labor! In addition to that, countless hours of skilled assembly, track testing and set up have gone into honing this motorcycle to be a true track weapon.

Also if you would rather go with a TTX shock instead of the Penske we can swap that over without issue.

Here's exactly how the bike looks today. We'll even leave the GoPro and Contour camera mounts on there!

Here is a video of the bike in action last month at Grattan Raceway. The bike was running in the low 19's which is VERY respectable for a day that was in the low 50's with a light mist.

That's one of the coolest videos I've ever seen. I was wondering--based on one of the pictures you posted--if the AP footrest, which is on the lowest position, was too low and would drag the pavement. Apparently not...I see the knee dragging repeatedly but there's enough clearance between the pavement and the bottom of the footrest.

BTW, I didn't hear too many throttle blips before downshifting.

The rider was definitely maximizing the use of the slipper clutch. This is why you didn't hear him trying to match engine rpm's with rear wheel speed.
