Thought I'd give a little further feedback on Alpinestars (in general) as a company and specifically my experience w/them and my SuperTech-R boots.
I had a low-side save a couple months back during a race and my right boot, leg, etc. kinda got pinched between the pavement and the bike... tore the toe slider off, continued to grind on the boot where the toe slider mounted. Needless to say, there was absolutely no way to put the toe slider back on w/out the use of Duct Tape... which got me by for the rest of the day.
Instead of buying a whole new pair of boots ($$$), TJ suggested I contact Alpinestars and see if they could repair it. Sent them some pictures, figured it might have been a total loss... to my surprise, they replied with an estimate of $40. I thought - that is WAY more than fair.
Sent it in to them and let them know that I needed it back by T-giving. On the phone w/them today. Final charge will be $30 and they're throwing in a new set of magnesium toe sliders. Plus they are overnighting it back to me.
WOW!!! Under Promise and OVER deliver... don't experience that too much anymore! Customer for life!!!

I have a pair of the all white Supertech R. Love them! Provided excellent protection when I wrecked. I would not be walking right now if I hadn't been wearing these boots.
