Default Bell Star Matte Black Carbon Helmet

Manufactured with an outer shell that’s 100% carbon fiber, the Bell Star Matte Black Carbon looks the business and performs exceptionally well over a wide range of riding conditions. One of the most noticeable aspects of the carbon fiber shell is its unique shape that’s designed to cut through the air smoothly with minimal buffeting and almost no lift. Intakes are strategically placed for maximum effect and each can be independently adjusted for comfort based on the rider’s own preferences. Exhaust vents on the back exploit the column of air behind the helmet to pull stale inside air out to the atmosphere. Further aiding in the internal environment’s comfort is the fully-removable interior liner that resists the growth of bacteria while keeping the Bell Star Carbon’s Snell M2010-certified shell perfectly placed on your head. You’ll sweat less and keep cool when the sun is out!

Up front, the NutraFog II face shield not only protects your eyes, but it resists fogging and it’s treated with a potent anti-UV coating so your face won’t be red after a day’s ride. It also resists scratches for a clear view of the road ahead. Bell’s 3Mode Shield allows you to quickly lock the visor down, crack it open for added ventilation and swap out faceshields with no tools required. And don’t forget to ask about a Bell Transitions SolFX Photochromatic faceshield. These visors have the same great benefits of the included unit, but also change their tint based upon lighting conditions. They darken quickly (~10 seconds) when the sun is out for squint-free daytime riding.

Bell Star Matte Black Carbon Fiber Helmets are not yet available on our website. The Bell Star Matte Black Carbon. MSRP $649.95

User-adjustable intakes are easily operated with a gloved hand.

Exhaust vents on the back of the helmet are carefully placed to take advantage of air passing by to better pull air from within the helmet out keeping the rider cool.

That’s real carbon fiber.

Don’t forget to ask about a Bell Transitions SolFX face shield so we can put it in the box along with your new Bell Star Carbon helmet. As advertised, it took about ten seconds for the half of the visor exposed to the sun to turn dark. The other half was covered for demonstration purposes. MSRP $119.95

To protect that which protects you, Bell includes this well-appointed padded Bell helmet bag. It has room for accessories like cleaning fluid, a spare visor and other items you may want to keep with your helmet.

Got this helmet a few days ago. To begin, it looks amazing. Much more aesthetically pleasing than my Shoei X-Twelve. The reviews have said that fit around the cheek and jaw are loose. This is very true compared to the Shoei. The Shoei takes some work to get on, while this helmet slides on easily. Once buckled in the helmet feels secure and offers a lot of peripheral vision. The helmet came with a bag and visor sleeve at no extra cost. I purchase the photochromatic visor at the same time and it is amazing. The helmet also is fog resistant. I can put it on and seriously breathe heavily at the shield and see no fog at 40 degrees F. Compared to the Shoei, the vents are much easier to manage on the road and give way better cooling. Very cool!

So, I am happy with the purchase. I might have been able to drop a size for better fitting, but didn't want to deal with returns.
