As is customary, Valentino Rossi gets another one-off limited edition helmet for worldwide distribution halfway through the year. This time, it’s in the form of the Rossi Ducati winter test AGV replica helmet. While there is nothing particularly striking about this Rossi replica helmet design, it does seem to convey a sense of concentration – the kind it takes to understand a completely new motorcycle. And while Valentino and company are still hard at work trying to get around the dynamics of the 800cc Ducati, there’s no question that the AGV GP-Tech helmet is one of the finest you can buy. Made in Italy, all AGV GP-Tech helmets feature excellent ventilation characteristics thanks to the Integrated Ventilation System (IVS) that’s made up of channels molded into the EPS liner which perfectly compliment the intakes and exhausts you see on the outer shell. This system delivers plenty of air to the rider’s scalp in an efficient manner that removes sweat and moisture as it passes through on its way out the back. To cover the GP-Tech’s entire size range, three different shell sizes are employed for maximum safety and comfort. Each shell is comprised of AGV’s Super Super Light carbon-Kevlar construction to yield a helmet that is not only light, but strong and safe enough to pass ECE and DOT certifications.
