Woodcraft frame sliders are built with crash protection and ease of use in mind. Crash protection properties are looked after with solid slider pucks that are sat atop an aluminum base and assembled with quality hardware to protect your bike’s frame in the event of a crash. The two piece design features a patented perpendicular bolt which runs through the slider making after-crash replacement a snap. As with other Woodcraft products, the design of their frame sliders comes from testing at the track under the most grueling of circumstances where any weakness will show through. This kind of evaluation provides the rest of us with a product that makes sense to use on the street or at the track.

Unlike other manufacturers that use a slider that is hollow all the way through the middle, Woodcraft frame slider pucks are solid on their outmost portion. This provides almost 50% greater surface contact when they touch down in a crash, greatly increasing their durability. Woodcraft slider pucks are available in high density plastic (shown) as well as clear, blue or red anodized aluminum (MSRP $20.00) and even chromed aluminum (MSRP $25.00) versions.


Woodcraft frame sliders use a patented perpendicular bolt to attach the frame slider pucks to their bases. This greatly reduces the risk of damaging the mounting hardware and eases the swapping out of slider pucks after a crash.

The Woodcrafts I received directly from Woodcraft in the last week or so look slightly different than the pix here.

For one, the aluminum heads on the bolts are not identical for both sides of the bike. One is a little longer than the other. Two, the pucks themselves have kind of a post in the middle inside of them. I think this is to help them seat into the aluminum heads better. It's just the way they have milled out their centers.

And the Woodcrafts DO require some filing of the fairing on the right side unless you mod both the puck and the aluminum head on that side. At least as best as I can tell because even the edge of the aluminum head on the right side would press or rub into the fairing too even before the puck.

Definitely appreciate the review. The pucks we have pictured are from a set of Triumph 675 sliders so they will be "slightly" different.

You are correct you do need to modify the fairing unless you are going to modify the base and puck.

Is there any extended frame sliders or extended pucks?

Woodcraft doesn't believe in the very long sliders as it will provide too much leverage and in most cases damage the engine mounts. Not to mention the longer the slider the better chance of the bike catching and flipping.
