Thumbs up California s.bike school

Did level 1 last week @silverstone stowe. Thought it a little expensive but i guess you can't put a price on knowledge. Extremely well run, nothing was too much trouble and always smiling faces, some trackday organisers could do with taking a note. Was thinking stowe was gonna be too small a circuit but it enabled you to keep repeating on track what was said in the briefings and 20minutes is a long time to keep moving about on the bike non-stop with no straights (as such) to rest. I certainly learned a lot, my head filled with whys, hows, whens, whats etc.....I think to sum up it was a day of thought provoking of what you are ACTUALLY doing, why you're doing it and what you should REALLY be doing. Anyway, it worked for me!! Feel a lot smoother throughout the corner now. Well done CSS guess i gotta start saving for the next one now
Had trouble loading some pics, hope its worked!

What level did you do? I completed level 2 about a month ago. Agreed it is expensive, but I do believe it has improved my riding, although I know I still have things to correct.

I was worried about Stowe being small as well, but then I thought I am going to learn how to corner better, so what is the point of long straights, but at the end of 20 mins I was thankful for the flag. In the last session I came in a minute early.

Went to Oulton Park last Weds and my lap time had improved by about 15 seconds by the afternoon, after getting used to the things I learned at CSS.

I was leaning a fair bit before but now it is with confidence, stability and with more ability. It feels more natural now to drag the sliders to the point of lifting them to miss the kerbs Next step is elbow down
Doing brands next week so will see (hopefully) the improvements........

Looking good out there! Keep it up. I was trying to decide between the Pridmore star school and the CA superbike. Anyone have an idea? Does it matter?

Hey Bananaman, who was your personal instructor?

My experience at CSB was less than optimal, but hearing so many more good reviews than bad comments makes me wonder if *I'm* different or if there was something else different (i.e. instructor?).

edchung, my experience with CSS was close to religious. Why are you not happy. Both my instructors were realy cool mates. Pushing me at every level. I get goose bumps when I think about it. Who was your instructor?
