Default Trail Braking, Maintenance Throttle and Rolling on the Throttle

Can someone explain how closing the throttle, trail braking, maintenance throttle and rolling on the throttle all work together with respect to the apex of a turn (if they do)?

trail braking is just as described "trailing off the front brake as you get deeper into the turn"

maintenance throttle: is used to take the slack out of the chain and tighten the suspension and chassis

rolling on the throttle is done to transfer the weight to the rear tire to maximize grip and to drive out or the turn after apex

and typically only "rolling on the throttle" is done after apex, the rest are before

is this what you were looking for?

Thanks. I figured "rolling on" comes after the apex. But I'm still a little confused about how trail braking and maintenance throttle interact before the apex. Or perhaps they don't come together on the same turn, i.e., depending on the turn, you either trail brake or you apply maintenance throttle?

here this may help you, but remember you don't trail brake in all turns but. here is a pretty good break down of how it works this pic is an ether or scenario what they are calling "balanced throttle" is were you would do maintenance throttle

I would disagree with the rolling on throttle AFTER the apex. Keith Code(most of you may know his name) suggests that you roll on the throttle AS SOON AS POSSIBLE after you brake and start your turn. Just my 2 cents.

Do you understand what a apex is? Your post is a common misconception! What would happen if as soon as you turned you got back on the "gas rolling on"? Think it through...... And in your idea all the braking is done in a upright position? What if you can't get it done while the bike is upright? Like say on a double apex turn? Or overtaking?

I think there is a semantic issue here. I don't believe Keith is saying jam on the throttle as soon as possible, rather he is saying get to maintenance throttle as soon as possible. This puts the suspension in the optimum position. The diagram above calls this balanced throttle. Once you clear the apex and can see the exit, then you can "roll on" for real acceleration.
