These guys are total squids.

Check out some of their other videos on 49 (which is not really all that great of a road for bikes) such as "how low can I go" with some tool in jeans repeatedly going around the same corner.

I have not ridden with these guys before, but will be doing an open track day June 20th at Thunderhill in Willows, CA with them. As far as 49 not being a great road, matter of opinion. Its close to home, leads up to Yosemite and has decent scenery with twisties. What more do you want?

IMHO, having lived in Nor*Cal for almost 30 years, I can tell you that there are many, many better roads for bikes than 49.

Have fun a T-Hill & watch out for those last turns leading onto the back straight!

Agreed there are better, but I am only about 30 minutes for 49 so it makes for an easy close ride. When I want to be gone all day I can take HWY 108,4,88 over the pass once the snow melts or go to the Bay Area and ride many of the roads. Lots of choices here, you can ride from the coastal range all the way to the Sierra's all in one day.

I was just there a few days ago, all the way from Minnesota. This part where 49 and 193 meet Roseville, CA - Google Maps is awesome(193 that is).

If you like 49, you will LOVE Hwy 36...140 miles of twistys from Red Bluff to the Coast!
