Gorgeous day in the mountains up here in the Northwest.

I was there in 1984. Is that still called Paradise Inn? Thats where I rode my bike too. It was August and only 10 minute hike to the snow line. I got to a sign that said WARNING, hike to Muir is hard and long, many have died on the slopes ahead, so I turned around and went back.

One of my favorite places ever!

It was in the mid-sixties @ 5400 ft. but the UV's are more intense up there so it felt warmer.
And yeah Thor, it's still Paradise. There's a sweet new visitors center too. I've been to Muir a dozen times and YES people have died going there or trying to get back....the sign is fer real! By the way....I topped out in 1993! It was EPIC!

I found a high end Sony headphone and modified it to fit inside the ear cutouts of the helmet. The inline volume controller makes it easier to adjust it rather than the I-pod controls. I get good sound for the tunes but I can still hear all the road and engine noise (if you can call the sound of that engine "noise").

The only downside is I have not made a quick-disconnect for the wires yet so they hang from the helmet when I'm off the bike.
