Haha, you know where I was.

That was some random symmetry for you... I'm there to see you pick up your bike, and you're there to see me pick up mine.

Man, what a great day. I decided to stop by Ride West to ask Roman if he had a status on my delivery. After a confused look, his answer -- "didn't you get my messages? That one's yours." (pointing at the silver bike behind him). I had seen the bike there, but didn't presume. I had missed his messages from last night and this a.m. because we were in late and out early.

A couple hours later, I've signed all the X's, written the check, got the Rhinomoto frame sliders installed, taken my RS back home, got back to Ride West, and I'm on the road.

Took it down to the large empty area at Magnuson Park where they do the MSF classes, and I scrubbed in the tires down to the chicken strips and got more acquainted with my new best friend.

The sun was still shining, show I took it out for a longer ride out near Duvall and Snohomish.

This is a great bike.

Default Congratulations

Couldn't help myself,... yet wanted to give you an opportunity to pop the big news on us all.

Yes, that was almost surrealistic. A month and a couple of weeks ago, there I was sitting in the seat with Roman, and then today there you were. Sounds like you are plenty happy. Magnuson Park, that was a smart place to go and a smart thing to do to scrub the tires down a bit.

Duvall / Snohomish is where I usually go since I live in Bothell. I ran home from RW and went out to Mukeltio, then the up the coast to Everett, over the causeway to Snohomish and then back home via 9. Sounds like maybe I nearly saw you twice today. Wow. Nice day for riding - tho I had my Gerbings on. Toasty.

Definitely happy. I am amazed with how both comfortable and powerful this bike is. Not just in pure HP, but handling, braking, everything.

Yeah, I really like that spot at Magnuson to work with a bike. There's not really any good spots for curves in Seattle proper (at least that I know of), so a large empty lot like that is really useful. I've never been hassled for being there.

I haven't been that way up to Everett in ages. I'll have to try it again. I often go out down Woodinville-Duvall road, then turn left and go up High Bridge towards Snohomish. I love that road. Sometimes I'll go all the way to Snohomish and stop, and other times like today I'll just turn around at the end of High Bridge and go back the way I came, and take Lake City Way back home. I live blocks from Ride West. Though last week I looped back through Duvall and rode down to Snoqualmie Falls to meet some friends. Lots of great possibilities in the Valley there.
