Default GP Suspension

Not sure if everyone is aware, but GP suspension is a local shop here in Portland. Since I’m starting to ride at a level that I can tell my stock suspension isn’t suited for me I’ve decided to pull the trigger on an upgrade.

GP makes a 25MM cartridge set for the front, comparable to the 30MM Ohlin’s drop in cartridges. In face I’ve heard for a number of the local club level guys it’s better that the Ohlin’s. It certainly does a better job of supporting the local small business, which is important to me.

Price for the cartridges, including labor, oil, springs for your weight and seals which he needs to source from BMW and a linear spring for the shock is just a shade over $1400.00. HOWEVER, Dave offered me a cash (as in greenbacks, not a check) discount of 15%, so all n price for suspension that would make a racer happy is $1200.

Thought I’d let you know, because its within driving distance, so cash might work…

I installed Dave's cartridge kit in 2010 when I first purchased the bike. Dave did an outstanding job and it's been the single best upgrade I've put on the bike. I have been to about eight different tracks over the last two years. Some tight and technical and others open and fast. In all cases the forks worked flawlessly. With four to six clicks out, from track setting, on comp and rebound they also work extremely well on the street without being to harsh.
