thanks Motomadman!!
i have gone 10+ track days this year, nothing to brag about, starting with my K2 GSXR, and finally landed the S1000RR in Aug. I am trying to staged up to my dream, riding the corkscrew!!
those tips you have are awesome, and sensible too!! the time i might want to do well be around April/May, i think that time frame will still be really cold, that being said, i think tire and track temp would be issue to consider. Even in SoCal.
i have not gone into modified my exhaust because of this track day, i read up on only 92db for this track and that hinder my mods on the exhaust.
still working on my body positions and keep telling my self: FLOW LIKE WATER when i get onto the track!!!

TIP: Take it easy your first time there, many turns can suck you in. I had a friend that crashed on sighting laps because the temp and track was damp from fog. Don't be the jerk that crashes in the cork screw... there is one every trackday.
OH OH! Bring your stock pipe. They have crazy sound restrictions and a sound meter that can pick you out of the crowd. Sorta. If you have a stock pipe you can be over the sound limit 3 times and you are out. Aftermarket pipes are 1 time and you are gone.
Yea it's a great track! They smoothed it out a ton after moto gp came back. It is so cool to ride it and then watch the GP races there. My mind is blown watching them ride.
