Default Seeking NY/NJ riders

Hello! I'm hoping that I'm not breaking any forum rules posting here.

I work for a Japanese television company and we're doing a segment on interesting commercials around the world and for part of that segment we're going to focus on the BMW S1000RR viral video that came out earlier this year. We're hoping to recreate the commercial and we're looking for a rider and his or her bike willing to help us with this experiment. We'll compensate you for your time.

The filming will probably be in the New York area and we'd like to do it next week, if possible.

Please PM me if you're interested in participating.

1Arm bandit comes to mind. But my question is why do you wait until almost december when most people have stored their bikes for the year? You ight need to go to Texas or Florida now.

Bad planning? Actually, we didn't look into recreating this video until a couple of weeks ago. The weather's been okay here in the New York area so hopefully there's a die-harder or two willing to help us out. Hopefully being the key word.

Does anyone know the distance it would take for an S1000RR to reach 115 mph and then how much distance is needed to safely decelerate? We're trying to locate shooting locations and would love an estimate on how much road we need to reserve.

Thanks again for all your help!

Probably 6-7 seconds which might be about 700-800 ft and then add in some distance for deceleration and I'd imagine you're needing about a total of 1/4 mile to be safe...

Just a guess... but should get you in the ball park.

@1000RR - Thank you so much for your reply. It really helped us narrow down our locations.
