Why is it that many claim "they ride?" But when its time to roll something suddenly comes up where they can't make it? Thoughts?

it is like when you see a harley being towed. Here you have one of the most comfortable long distance bikes but you have these "riders" who pull up off load their bike, pose a lot and go home. I have alway owned sport bikes and people think I am nuts when i tell them I just did 200, 300, 400 miles in a day (granted it took everything to peal my leathers off and hit the couch) but I agree 100% the ride is the enjoyment not the destination

Maybe because they don't really own a S1000RR motorcycle? Maybe we could have a S1000RR owner's sub-forum where you have to supply your bike's VIN number to actually participate? That would cut through the B.S. real quick. Just a thought. Probably one that won't be taken favorably by everyone involved. I'd just like to know if a post is coming from a member who actually owns a S1000RR, or not. It would explain volumes.

You might be right here. Its not just s1000rrs that are awol. Other brands as well have things that "suddenly come up."

I am ready to submit my vin if necessary.
