Shopping for my first S1000RR

Hey there, my name is Josh, I live in Indianapolis Indiana. Getting ready to purchase my first S1000RR and I was wondering if there is any good info out there as far as what options are available on which models years. For example, quick shift is a must, but I've been told some years only upshift and some upshift/downshift. I don't know this to be accurate it's just hearsay so I'm trying to get some actual technical data on specs. Usually Wiki has a handy chart but there's very little info on the S1000RR. Thanks in advance for the help, for the add, and I look forward to becoming a member of the BMW group.

The up/down quick shifter was brought in on 2015+ models, along with other upgrade options such as cruise control and electronically adjustable suspension.

Can't go wrong with any well maintained or newer s1000rr. Great bike in all generations, what do you currently ride? The research portion is the best part of bike shopping next to the actual purchase.

The autoblipper wasn't introduced as a factory option until 2015 IIRC

Depends what your budget is. Get a 2015+ Fully optioned if you can afford it.

Regarding a new S1000RR, I know based on the website, it appears that are lots of options and technically there are. However, many dealers only sell the Premium. Good luck.

Yup! When I bought my 2016, about 2 weeks ago, there were only Premium ones available in my area of Orange County/Long Beach/Pomona & now they're all gone since the $3,000 off incentive. I was also told that I bought the last fully loaded 2016 BMW S1000RR in the tri-colorway, not sure if it's true but I like to believe it is
