There is no Ohlins from the BMW factory. If you're considering a used rear shock check the Ohlins online catalog, I believe that the 2015-16 is a different shock to the 2012-14. Please check before purchase to avoid disappointment. Welcome to the forum.
The swingarm geometry on the 2015+ models is significantly different than the 2nd generation bikes. So an Ohlins for a 2nd gen bike won't fit without additional parts.
An Ohlins that is spec'd for an HP4 will, but for the money, you may as well buy the BM360 which has improved valving and is spec'd for the 3rd gen bikes. The swingarm geometry on the 3rd gen bikes is identical to the HP4, - inserts, linkage, shock mount.
Thanks Skapan! I didn't think Öhlins was OEM for BMW, would be GREAT, but no...... I have been looking at the online catalog for information etc. I was hoping to save a few dollars and help a fellow rider out by purchasing from someone who no longer needs one or can use the money. Guess if it's best to go directly to Öhlins, then I will have to just place an order soon.

Would love to join you a on ride sometime! =)
