Default New member let the modding begin!

Hey
Finally I can pick up the bike in 2 days from my dealer (kelowna bentley motorad)!
Even though the winter is coming and the new 2012 coming out I still dont regret buying the 2011.

Something about me..I grew up in Holland (Amsterdam) I use to love riding motorcycles but never had the money for it..Last year I moved to Canada and some money came available and bought a used 03 cbr 600.
I totally fell in love I couldnt believe I finally lived my dream
I got 20000 km down in 3 months and was thinking to get a 1000.
Always loved the cbr 08+ but something intrigued me about the skrr not only the looks (a sym) but the raw power,qs,abs and dtc..My buddy got the acid green and it looked so nice I dicided to take it for a test drive...It Just blew me away!
So I stopped modding my 600 limited to only maintenance and almost monthly pilot pures haha and 5 months later of my riding career I was at the dealer to buy a fully loaded skrr thunder grey..

And tuesday will be the day i will be the happiest guy in canada. Even though its getting pretty cold I want break in the bike on my 10 days off (prob takes me 2 lol).

My plan is to mod the bike in the winter and got a good plan setup!
I already bought the bikemonkey taillight and the bmw seat cover cause I love a clean ass
But I like the stock taillight better but safety is important..so i have no choice. Next week I will order a akrapovic full ti long exhaust with pcv and autotune(loved the pc on my 600) and bring my wheels and steering clamp to the powder coater to get them blacked out.Was thinking about doing the swingarm to but the 2012 already has a black one so I prob go with silver..

Well enough talking about my plan! We shall see the results very soon and of course the project will be updated with pics when i got my parts. Further mods will come and the first that would be full ohlins when the $$ are coming in

Well nice to be a member of this forum, already found loads of info prior to posting this thread. And you guys are very helpfull!

Till next post!

Greg

That sounds like a fun ride. Also sounds like you need some heated gloves. Let me know what you are still looking for and I will get you hooked up with the prices.
