Default Like a kid on X-mas eve!

Definitely a noob here even having subcribed about a month ago in anticipation of getting a "new to me" S1000RR, which according to the phone call I got today from the trucking company, I should have it by 9 AM EDT tomorrow morning, rain (forecasted) and all. I bought the bike used from a well respected CA based business that uses the S1000RR for their fleet. I also work as a volunteer for the company when they visit the east coast twice each spring/summer. Yeah, you probably know who/what I'm talkin' about...

Not to rub it in, but I'll also be listing a 2nd purchased S1000RR in the classifieds when I get enough posts since I bought two of them from the said business. As for buying and selling the 2nd one, I'm only looking to clear my total shipping cost for both bikes and maybe a small profit, but the sale price will still be very attractive for a used, clear title, 100% stock with all brand new 2011 body and tank (both bikes are 2010 models). Options included are the DTC/ABS and Shift Assist.

Hopefully, I made the right decision on buying the bikes. I'll look forward to riding the one I'm keeping which will do double duty as street and track use to replace my Triumph Daytona 675 that I wadded up really good at VIR about 2 months ago.

Also looking forward to getting to know you all through the forum. I'm more of a reader than a poster, but I will chime in when I feel I have enough insight to provide a response, or even have a question/comment, that I need feedback on from you all.

Is it tomorrow yet?

Welcome aboard... I'm sure you have a lot of offer if you volunteer a bit of your time with "said company"

Congrats too!!

I think I got 4 hours of good sleep then was wide awake by 3 AM thinking about the pending arrival this morning. The truck is suppose to arrive around 8:30. Sucks that it's raining really good here and suppose to rain all day. At least I'll read up on the owners manual, maybe change oil, and a thourough inspection. I'll post up some pics too in the pic thread.

You two pegged me correctly on the organization the bikes came from and who I volunteer for, but any thing I have to offer won't be from a coach perspective (they get paid), but rather the proper technique to flag and call out a student who's not following the drill correctly. I'm a lowly corner worker for those guys, but our "pay" is riding every 3-4 sessions and we also have the lunch hour to ride the track all by ourselves. I usually get just as miuch track time volunteering as I do when I pay for a trackday.

Supposedly, they were all sold in early/mid July, with 20 bikes going to one guy/dealer, but that guy backed out, so 20 bikes went back on the market. It wasn't communicated the bikes were back on the market. I found out when I cornerworked for them at VIR in mid August. That's when I started considering buying one, but the real deciding factor was when I crashed my 675 two days later running with NESBA on the VIR south and completely destroyed the 675. I walked away from the crash with a slight concusion and two deep bruises (knee and elbow), but at that point, I thought I'd probably hang up track riding. Two weeks later I changed my mind and started contacting Will at CSS and made a deal with him. I bought two for myself and a 3rd one that a buddy bought. All three were just delivered! Here they are in my garage! The two yellow ones are mine (one for sale!) and the Motorad color one is my buddy's. WOOT WOOT!

Just posted up in the video section a colaboration of still pictures taken during the delivery of the bikes this morning:
The Arrival!

Now, can anyone tell why the hell is it raining in VA today? Why couldn't the bikes have arrived yesterday when it was 80° and sunny? Damnit! Hope that's the worst of my luck!
