New member and owner here! Just got my yellow S1000rr yesterday and I bet my new bike story is quite different from anyone else! While riding it home from the dealer, as soon as I get on the highway, my rear tire goes flat! Sat on the highway for almost 2 hours trying to get a tow company capable of towing motorcycles to pick me up. Needless to say, I'm in mourning at the moment. The motorcycle shop doesn't open until Tuesday so my brand new bike with 7 total miles has to sit on a flat tire in my garage until Tuesday or possibly Wednesday. Well, that's my story.

the flat tire suck, get yourself a small compressor and a plug kit and you will never have to do that again I carry one on both my bikes as flats out in the boonies of Texas suck.

just saw the bike, never seen anything like that before. the wheel has a hole in it, looks almost like a .22 cal bullet went through it. had to have been a bigass nail or something.

we'll know tuesday if its gonna get replaced or not.

What russianvr4 said. Went to get a plug kit earlier this afternoon to see if it would hold air with it plugged. Plugged the tire and aired it up, air was still leaking out very quickly. Rolled the bike back a quarter turn on the rear wheel and aired it up again searching for another hole when I noticed the hole in the wheel. I can't for the life of me figure out what could have caused a puncture through the tire and wheel! Oh well, contacting the dealer on Tuesday and seeing if they'll hook me up (hopefully!).

Cngrats on the new bike!

Look over your bike very carefully for more damage. What ever punctured that wheel could have done more damage.

Can you post up some pictures of the hole in the tire and the rim?
