Just bought a 2011 red white and blue S1000RR. It is like nothing I ever ridden.

Had it for a week and got 1st servicing done. Unfortunately I am going to have to drive it home and park it until spring beside the Miti Guzzi Norge, Harley Ultra Classic and Honda CBR900RR (project bike) for the winter.

This is my second BMW - previous was 2005 R1150RT.

Hopefully weather is good tomorrow so I can see what the bike does now that the 9000 rpm limit has been eliminated.

Ah yes.. the 5 month riding season... I'm trying to ride mine for 2 more weeks...

You wlll have a lot of fun riding that bike past 9k rpm.
