Just bought the beast 2 weeks ago before I got married, lil wedding gift to myself I guess you could say. Traded in my 07 GSXR1000 for it and really have to say i'm very pleased with it. Pretty much started really riding it this past weekend after getting back from the honeymoon. Really pleased with the handling on it that I can tell so far, still in that newbie 600 mile break in phase, sucks having a limiter to only like 9K but it's only temporary. Anyway just coming through to introduce myself. Here's a stock picture for now, stay safe.

I have a 2 day Track Day weekend scheduled December 11th and 12th. Come down and ride, I rode mine on the track for the first time this past weekend. Kick in the ass for sure.

I'm actually looking to go to Houston for the track day scheduled for the 30th of October. Friend of mine only lives like an hour and a half from Barber, so I'll be hitting the asphalt fairly soon.

Symplee11, i'll be sure to, I plan on getting the Austin Racing exhaust within the next week or two, then just minor things, PC, levers, tires for the track, nothing you really need to do to these beauties.

Another AF member with a S1000RR...welcome and congrats on the marriage.

Did you get the military deal BMW usually does? Not sure if they were doing it when you bought it. Last year they were throwing in the safety package...ABS, DTC.

Thanks everyone, yes I got the military discount for the package. The discounts and the amount I got on my trade in, I got a pretty good deal on the bike. I'm loving the bike the more and more I ride it.

Man you're not lying, it was almost like too much bike for that track, a 600 is perfect for something like that. With the weight and power difference it was hard to try and get on top of it, handles very well. Just gotta get used to this beast.
