Default Herro

I'm looking into getting a s1krr when I come back from Afghaniland. I currently have a '06 cbr600rr as my track bike and wanted to get the s1krr for my commute bike.

I've been emailing BMW of San Diego so I'll have it waiting for me when I get back if I decide this is what I want! I'm happy that they have the safety package free for military.

I've never got to sit on one before so just wondering, I'm 5' 7", will I be on my tippy toes or balls of my feet? On my '06, I'm on the balls of my feet which doesn't bother me. On '07 cbrs and gsx-r, I have more foot on pavement then my '06 since the seat is narrower. Anyone here that's my height have any inputs?

Thanks a lot guys!

I have you by .5 of an inch...and I'm on the balls of my feet, you'd be fine.

Nice choice! The military safety package is one heck of a promotion! It really surprised me that a German manufacturer is basically giving US armed forces a 10% discount. American manufacturers hardly even do that. After I returned from Japan, it made the S1000RR that much more of a no-brainer for me!

Keep your eyes open, be safe, and return home quickly. And from one serviceman to another, Thank you for what you do!

Thank you for what you do also.

Yeah, the military safety package is what sold me, man. I was dead set on getting a 2011/2012 Ducati 848 but the s1 has all the goodies. Plus, Duc parts are just wayyyy to expensive.
