Default Hello from Kuwait

Hey all,

New member from Kuwait here, certainly not new to beemers...

In 10 days I'll be receiving a light gray metallic 2011 RR.

Been reading on this forum for a little while and I'm glad to be part of it.

Thanks

Welcome... I lived in Kuwait for a while in the late '70's as well as Bahrain, Abu Dhabi, Doha and Dubai... Wearing full gear is going to get HOT for you in the summer...

a 122F midday, 104F at night we almost have no chance of riding unless I've had such a real bad day! so yea its sizzling

currently I own a R1200R-2011 which is okay for relaxed rides... still 10 minutes out there can boil my blood.

I should mention that I come from K1300S moving to the RR.. Did a test ride once but I think thats far from being informative on how the RR really compares.

Welcome! I bet you can't wait to get your bike. I can relate to the excitement and anxiety. On the bright side, in those temps tires will warm up REAL fast!
