Talking YESSSSS!!! Finally got my S1000RR :D

Hello All,

Greetings from the Bay Area, California. Names John and I am fresh to the S1000RR forums. I am proud to say I am now an owner of a brand new 2011 BMW S1000RR. I have been waiting a while for this moment so I am eager to share. I have been the owner of multiple bikes ranging from a GSXR 750 to one of my current bikes my 2008 Honda CBR1000RR and 3 R1s (what can I say I caught the Yamaha bug for a while lol) all with various modifications and none of them even come close to my Beamer. I have already clocked in about 350 miles since I was able to ride it home yesterday at 7pm PST and I am looking forward to getting the rest of my break in miles in tomorrow. Cannot wait until BMW is able to lift the limiter so I can really see how this beast of a machine performs. Again it is the greatest bike I have ever had the pleasure of riding. It is so user friendly and gives the rider all the confidence in the world and thats without the rider assists! I look forward to sharing my progress with the bike with all of you. Current modifications full Akrapovic Racing Exhaust System w/ Conical Muffler. Many more mods to come. Everyone have fun out there riding and be safe.

Yea after wading my options for a few days and really going back and forth on my decision i decided to go with the light grey metallic or white as i call it lol. I loved both the motorsport and the thunder grey but my choice came down to how exclusive and different i can be. everyone wants the motorsport and black is way to common here in the bay with bikes. there have been less then 25 of the s1000rrs purchased at top beamer dealership here in the bay area since its debut and this is only the second light grey metallic purchased not only that both the motorsport and thunder were available in the 2010 model and the light grey is new to this year. with white you can do so much more with accents and such. i got major plans for this one and i'll be sure to again keep everyone posted. thanks for your post

I was easy on my break in but after 1,500 miles i can say my bike was making full power or it was my twist the grip .
