Default New S1000 owner

Hello everyone,

Just picked up an S1000RR this week. I live in Mountain Home, Idaho just east of Boise. I'm in the US Air Force and have been for the last 17 years. I'm
looking forward to many years of ownership of this bike. I currently have an 01 CBR929RR that I purchased new in 01 and I also have an 08 CBR600RR. Need to dew a few mods on the S, so let the modding begin!

Give it some sound with a slip on, hard wire in Passport radar detector and radar screamer kit. Install new Corsa wind screen, frame sliders, and get rid of the mullet hanging off the back. This bike is going to be a street bike thats why I'm putting the readar detector on, I have these on both my CBR's. This is the first bike I have owned where I plan on leaving the stock turn signals on. I think they look pretty good and are not to big and silly like the Honda ones that came on the CBR's. Working on my break in now. I also plan on getting all the needed items to perform maintenance at home.

Sounds good. Slip on won't improve sound that much just so you know as the cat is the ultimate limiter in sound produced after it. But if you wanna change the look, that's completely fine.

I don't want ot super loud, just a nice rumble. My 600RR has a Leo V slip on with the DB killer still in it and it's perfect. You can hear it when you really start to turn the throttle. I ordered the Arrow slip on, hopefully it will be here this week. I don't see a need for a full exhaust and PCV yet. Keep in mind that I have not tapped into the power yet. Rode yesterday on Race mode and it pulls strong below 7K.
