I haven't been doing much on the roads at the moment....but not because of the weather! Started doing a bit of racing on my Gixer!
Weatherwise, this place can be fair shite all right! However, I've been into 2 wheels for 20 odd years! I go out in all sorts! If I didn't the thing would sit in the shed half the year! Gotta say, the traction on the S has made me very lazy!! I just set it in race for the wet roads and let it look after things! Great craic
I usually take a trip to the Continent for a bit of proper sun and dry roads every couple of years. Contemplating taking the S home to "ze fatherland" at the beginning of next month. I'll be shouting for Eugene Laverty at the new Nurburgring and hope to hang around for a couple of days after to do a few laps of the Nordschleife! I haven't been there since 2009. Its an experience like no other I've ever encountered! One word...NUTS!........but good nuts!
The biggest advantage of living in Ireland.....we get Irish road races on our doorstep every other weekend during the summer months. Be warned though, summer is only a word over here though.....it still rains a lot!....But the racing doesn't stop! See the link below for what I mean. I was here at this meeting the same day! Was a 4 hour ride away in the rain! Was worth it for this action:
