Default Light Grey '11 S1000RR in OKC

Just wanted to say hello to this awesome forum dedicated to this remarkable motorcycle. I picked up my Light Grey Metallic 2011 S1000RR from BMW Motorcycles of OKC on June 11 and have rode it pretty much daily since, rain or shine. This is my first brand new motorcycle purchase and I couldn't be happier. I don't have much experience with modern sportbikes as i've spent my previous 6 years riding experience on older beater bikes learning to make the most of what i had. I'm coming off a 92 Yamaha FZR1000 I rode for 4 years while stationed in Japan, and a 92 GSXR 750 I rode for 2 years before that. If there are any mature riders around the OKC/Tinker area on here, hit me up. Just moved here in May and would love to see your riding spots. Thanks!

Rob

Congrats on the purchase! This is a great place to learn about the S1000RR--it's really working for me.

The old FZR and GSXR were potent bikes in their day--not to shabby by today's standards, either! I'm sure they prepared you well for the BMW. Have fun

I live in northwest OKC pretty close to Edmond. Maybe I'll see you out there sometime.

Seriously? I drive by there all the time to peek at the cars they have in there. There're always plenty of Vipers, but my favorite to see was a Ford GT.
