Default Hello from West Sussex, UK

Hello, just got my second-hand Thunder Grey on Monday and I'm still grinning! It was previously owned by a Ducati guy who chopped it in for another Duke after only 6 months and 1300 miles....his loss! I was previously riding a GSXR1000K7 and the S1k feels slightly better in most respects, particularly in it's ability to hold a line around bumpy bends. I do miss the Suzuki's bottom end stomp though, perhaps that's what Mr Ducati was missing! This is my first BMW as they have never before made any bikes that I would have considered throwing a leg over! The build quality, fit & finish look top notch and I'm hoping that it will stand up to the winter. Anyway it's good to be aboard, and I look forward to exchanging a few posts with you all.

Welcome to the gang.
I've been riding mine every day since early Feb up here in Yorkshire and it still looks mint. Much more robust than Jap bikes; especially Suzukis!

You're not wrong there...it was hard work keeping the Suzuki tip-top through the dark months of 2 winters! Loads of ACF-50 really helps and had the wheels powder coated.
