Default Brought her home yesterday in the rain :)

Greetings all. I just purchased my baby yesterday (Saturday!) because it was a beautiful day to ride

When I got to the dealer they were blow drying her off after doing the "BMW recommended" 15 mile pre-sale ride. I felt like William Wallace hearing it from the the English about the Rule of First Night.

Regardless, I'm a happy new owner!!!!

I rode her excitedly and carefully home in the rain.

I believe this bike was meant to be ridden and ENJOYED, rain or shine!!!!

Greetings to any Northern Californians and s1000rr owners alike! I can't wait to break her in and take her to the track!!!

-Michael

15 mile "pre ride" I had 7 miles on my bike when I picked it up. It was also like 40 degrees, SUCKY ride home.. but a TOTAL grin on my face the ENTIRE time. Enjoy you're ride mate, I <3 mine.

Enjoy the bike mate. I also use mine in whatever the British weather throws at me and it's not dissolved yet . If I didn't I'd put about 600 miles a year on it!

Congrats on your beauty! I also took delivery of mine in the pouring rain. I was ready with my rain suit. Bike had 10 miles of pre-ride test miles on it.
Nervious/anxious and super excited all at the same time. I have ridden in the rain but never with brand new tires. Just placed it in rain mode and was a happy camper like you. Awesome bike right?

Wow, good to see riders from all over the globe!

Cesarb, awesome bike! And I did have an unbelievable grin on my face riding all the way home. I just keep thinkin that I haven't EVEN glanced
this bikes potential yet... due to break in.

I guess I'm spoiled and used to southern california weather here in the states where 1 out of 5 Posts (on for sale forums) tell about never being ridden in the rain. Its quite a shame if you ask me. And even though I've been spoiled by relatively good weather year round, I find it truly enjoyable to ride EVERY chance I get.

Nobody likes getting rained on but it makes me respect motorcycling more sometimes to ride in different weather conditions.

I can't wait till break in is over. I bought this bike after a year of waiting and researching and now my dream has come true!!!!!

Safe and happy riding all!
