Default Love the Fireblade forums

I am an owner of a S1000RR as of last November and love it. I was just on the Fireblade forum the other day and saw that there are a lot of haters out there. Wow! And I am a huge Honda fan as well. I have had over 30 motorcycles in my life so far and I will always be a honda fan. But, now that I have a german engineered machine, I can honestly say that the bike feels more solid, tighter and just plain smoother that my friends brand new CBR1000. Don't get me wrong, it's still a nice bike, but I'm glad I bought the Beemer over the Honda.

You always get haters when something newer, faster and more powerful hits the streets. I believe that users of the Kwak forum are banned from even mentioning an S1000RR in any context!

I recently looked on t'internet to see what people were saying was the fastest stock production bike and on a few sites the S1k didn't even make the top 10. Many Busa owners still believe that their ride is still the fastest and it's just no longer true.

You look on a PS3 forum and everyone slags off Xbox's and vice versa. Basically, I love all bikes and the S1kRR is the one which, for now, hits all of the big numbers. It'll be knocked off it's perch soon by Japanese factories catching up but I won't run out and trade it for whatever takes top honours. I love the bike!

It's a BMW, it's small and fits me perfect it's build quality is untouchable IMO.

It's power is somthing I considered to be a bonus because I'm going to own my bike for a long time it's always going to be to much for me and therefor shouldn't get bored of the bike...

The Honda is my second favourite 1000 it's feel for want of a better word is IMO the best but the s1 is so close to that and every other part of the bike is better for me.....

Yeah PS3 and Xbox's don't compare to my 1990 Sega Megadrive ;-)

I know the feeling...I love my S1000RR. The irony is...most if not all of us on this forum have owned the bikes the "haters" are bragging about. However, they have probably never rode a BMW before... I love the irony!

So true. The same holds true for the Italian bikes as well. Until you ride one, you'll never know how great they really are.

Still miss my 1098S but every time I am on the S1000 I don't and am very happy that I got it. On the other hand, I don't miss my '06 CBR 1000RR.

I own CBR1000RR-05 and CBR1000RR-08 and S1000RR. The beemer has great power and throttle respond and the built quality is ahead of its time , but the chassis is not strong enough for its power and thats why it wobbles on the other hand , 08-11 CBR has its advantages , stability handling is great and friendly ride , the mid range and power delivery is the best. at the curves both bike more less similar except at the exit honda is better. thats wat I personally think and the comparison is between the 2008 cbr1000rr vs 2011 s1000rr.
