Hello from Austin

Hey there, Alex/Athanyel here. I've been lurking here for about six months but just picked up my S1 this weekend.

I started a little over two years ago with a Ninja 650R. When I went out looking for a new bike, I had a set list of requirements: ABS, inline 4 and comfortable for my not-quite-skinny 6'4" frame. I initially skipped over the S1 as being just too damned powerful for someone with as little experience as me. After talking to a lot of the same folks who originally pointed me towards the 650R rather than the 250R and reading this forum, I opted to give the S1 a shot and arranged a demo ride.

I absolutely fell in love and picked up the last S1 on the floor at Lone Star BMW in Austin. Fantastic folks to work with and, so far, would recommend them to anyone in central Texas. I haven't had a chance to take the bike out for a good long run through the hill country yet but I'm planning to soon.
