Hi all,
I currently own a Honda CBR1100XX, and am looking for something a bit sportier. I am looking for information on the S1000RR.
The Blackbird suits my size quite well with its longer bar reach and relaxed riding position. I'm 186cm and 105kg (6'2" and 235lb). I have ridden a few bikes (Honda CB600F and CB1000R) and have found them a bit like riding a dirt bike - with me wanting to put my foot down whilst cornering......
Are there many people here who have gone from a sport tourer (even a Blackbird) to the S1000RR?
My riding goes from daily commuting to/from work, weekend blats through the local mountain ranges and four track days a year. I am not a racer, just someone who likes going as fast as circumstances permit. I have reworked the usual things on the 'bird to try and set it up for better handling (at the expense of some comfort) - front springs and cartiridges, reworked fireblade rear shock with 6mm shim, PC III coupled with K&N filter and Yoshi RS3 slip-ons.
