Default Adopted a disabled S1000RR

Hi,

My name is Ed. I'm here in sunny (but not this week) Northern California near San Jose (and Laguna Seca. Zooooom!).

I picked up this 2010 S1000RR from a racer in Missouri. He dropped it going around Road Atlanta; it's still spewing red-dirt out the exhaust. I think I got it for a song, but it'll be a two-month project putting it back together. I'll try to make threads in the How-to's, and I'll be hunting for spare parts in the Classifieds.

Here she is as of now, just needs a little bit of love:

Looking forward to the final pic when you're done putting her back to her previous beauty.

She looks great, but it wound up costing me a lot of money to get this far... repairs have been mostly cosmetic, aside from replacing the front and rear subframes.

To do: Install foot pegs. At this point, I am planning to acquire and mount stock bodywork, also.

Hi, I've got one the same. Gonna track it for racing though. If you are keeping it the same color, I have a mint left side fairing and lowers are a 9/10. Gonna sell them anyway.

Good luck!

Michael,

Had two Sprint's, down to one. I'm planning to lose this one, too, once I figure out how to carry a tent and two days of clothes on the back of the BMW.., :/
