Gotcha, po po are a no go. Lately I have been riding with my tags under the passenger seat as a just in case method. If the Va a ride doesn't work then for sure a local ride definitely would work.

I've been on Route 211 about four or five times this year. I have never had any issues with police but I do know two people that did. Both times it was on the stretch of 211 prior to entering the mountains, near the Shell gas station.

I believe if we take it easy on that brief stretch (about a 10 minute ride), we should be fine.

If you come from the Laurel area, Frank is right - I-495 toward Northern Virginia, I-66 West toward Front Royal, take the Route 15 exit toward Haymarket and Sheetz is around the corner. The ride from Sheetz to Route 211 is all back roads...except that small stretch of highway that I previously mentioned.

Zoom: I'm more likely to do a shorter local ride just because it won't take the whole afternoon.

The speed limit is 25 just for a very small stretch. The majority of this ride I think its going to be pretty quiet. After 211 we will get on some roads where there probably won't even be many other cars and there will be a ton of twisties.

I plan to get a little riding in today too since it's supposed to be the warmest dry day we'll have in a while..

I'll be there with one kid. Likely to be there around 11 but I'm flexible that day. I will PM you my cell and we can meet there.
