Default Queensland S1000rr Rider

Been on this site a couple of times, thought that i should join and see what its like.
I live on the Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia and been riding for about 9 years.
I bought my S1000rr '11 at the start of the year and love it, haven't done much to it yet just the basics (K&N filter and tail tidy) but looking at a few little mods like power commander and an exhaust was thinking a taylor made, but would appreciate any thoughts.
My previous rides were a '08 gsxr 600, and a '05 gsxr 750 both had power commanders with yoshi pipes. then there was my old 250cc ninja.

well thats me.

Hello and welcome

While the Taylormade is a beautiful system, the power gains are minimal compared to the Akra, but, we should ask ourselves if we need more power...lol

I would agree with jwx on the power gains of the Taylormade. All the dyno charts I've seen does show some gains, but not like many of the other brands out there (Akra, Leo, Austin, Brocks, etc.).

As far as doing it... if you get a full system, do get a power commander. Not 100% necessary, but you will make the bike run like it should and finishing getting the gains out of the pipe that are there to be gotten.

As far as needing more power... heck, not many people "needed" the most power production bike anyway, so I guess it's more desire than need. Go for it! The sound is MUCH better than stock, shaves a little weight, and the power increase is definitely noticeable.

Yeah i know that the power not really needed but want a nicer sound and look to the bike. and if I get some extra power I'm not going to complain. Also been looking at the Arrow Evo, like the side exit style exhausts.

I'm with you on the Taylor Made I'm going with it as soon as I can get my 600 on the Bike, I don't need more power just good looks and sound will work for me.
