Question

I don't get it ! Not that many double amputee's ride, so what about the critical knees that are unprotected? Would it have cost too much to extend the protection to below-knee shortys? Boots take care of feet/ankles; what's this product intended to offer the rider? I wear full-protection jackets/pants/riding suits. When would this be an atractive alternative? Just saying......

More aimed at off-road riders, which some/most will wear seperate knee protection and other padding. This is a perfectly normal alternative.

The long version:
DAINESE "Summer" Body Pants

I wear the padded shorts with my suit that has great knees and shin armor and lightly padded hips and tail bone. The shorts provide level 2 protection (highest level) on the hips and much better protection everywhere else.

The pants would not fit with armored pants or suits--but the shorts will.
