Sorry, don't want to appear to be a flake, but a buddy got back to me, he was able to polish mine out. He had to take his off an mount mine on his bike to do it, but said it came out OK. SORRY, and again thanks, tim
Hey, sorry for he late message. I was thinking of going with the group that leaves out of Arlington, as they are hitting some twisties that I've never heard of... Found it on meetup.com. My number is 520-975-1552 if you want to meet up.
The Brembo's are great. They have much better initial bite and are smooth. They seem to have a more linear feel after the initial bite and aren't grabby which works for me.
The adjustability is great. I only use 1 finger on the brakes. With my broke in Taichi track gloves the feel is awesome. I have a new pair of Cortech track gloves (which aren't broke in) and I can still adjust the lever to fit my fingers without problems.
I wanted better initial bite for later braking and smoother feel in the levers and I got all of that with Brembo. I'm a huge fan and strongly recommend the set up. I honestly feel that you won't ever regret it and wonder how you managed without them.
Say, I was wondering just how much more feel you got from going to the Brembo M/C and also the Brembo Levers...Clutch and Brake? I have a 2013 HP4 and love more sensitive feel and adjustability in my Brake lever and also the clutch.
I notice that when riding with my race gloves that the factory brake lever has too far a reach for two fingers (for me) and when adjusted closer.... well then the lever bottom out on my carbon covered knuckles well before the brakes are working really firm. Kind of frustrating. I also like short levers so I suppose I can get those to from Brembo.
So just what were you looking for when you did the conversion and do you like it more now. What type of feel are you getting.
Thanks for any and all help here. I would rather hear from someone who has done this before just jumping in and doing it.
