Yannick - Tell me more, why would I need this?

Too hard to explain myself. Go here to the manufacturer's site and see if you can find a reason. Maybe you can't, but it can read electronic controllers for base data and faults, and can log real-time data values.
Hex Code.
FYI, I already have a GS-911, for my other beemer. So I downloaded the beta that includes the S1000RR, and tried it out in the garage with my PC. Worked fine. I'm going to go out on the road and log some running values as a baseline for future readings with my bluetooth phone.
If you are considering the bluetooth option, make sure you read the fine print about bluetooth phone compliance to the
JSR-82 standard. There is a free downloadable utility that will tell you whether your phone will work or not. On the road, a failure and a usable bluetooth phone just might enable you to get out of a jam, diagnose your problem, or allow you to call ahead to BMW to let them know what your problem is. "Hi there, my sidestand switch on my S1000RR appears to be keeping my bike from starting. Do you have one in stock? Is there a way to short it out so I can get to you?" That type of thing.
