Default Shift light blinks on quick throttle action

I noticed a very strange thing yesterday, when I give the throttle a quick blip, the shift light blinks once, very quickly. Is it only my bike doing this?
It idles fine, quick throttle action to about 3000 rpm and on she comes.

I had the 1k running in service done a couple of days ago, and I did reset the shift light to personal settings, which is 100% bright, flashing quickly at 13,500 rpm.

I know that the shift light will come on at 7000 rpm when standing still to let you know you are at optimal race start rpm.

Any thoughts would be appreciated

Does your backlights flicker at all when this happens or does the tacho needle slow or stop?

Mine was doing this and ended up being battery related.
