Default S1000RR GSA(gear shift assistant) trouble.

HI.. i am korean. i can't speak english..i am so sorry....

11MY S1000RR GSA trouble..

after shift up with GSA..fixed gear pedal...on the top..

gear pedal is not return..

and throttle close..gear pedal is return..

why this happen??

again i am so sorry..i can't speak english..

i like s1000rrforum users :-)

please comment..i am waiting

Sounds serious. Don't ride it until after having it checked. If a spring has broken it may damage the engine.

only..gear pedal is not return..

I suspect there is a return spring on the shift mechanism inside the engine. I'm worried that spring is broken. If it's broken then the lever may not return correctly. If it's broken then you have pieces of steel spring moving through your engine. It may be something simple as well but I would hate to see your engine damaged internally. Have it checked.

Possibly the gear selector shaft or detent spring-get it checked by the dealer.

9-detent spring
1-selector shaft-on the picture,on the far end there is a spring loaded slider held with a spot weld which are occasionally suspect.
Speak to your dealer as you need to access these through the clutch case.
