When to change the oil?

I took a gander in the manual & did not see a recommended interval; is this something that in built into the computer (i.e. it will display when service is required)?

I changed at 600 miles and am now approaching 3600 on full synthetic.

Service lamp comes on and its 6000 miles or yearly.
