Default Anyone using Fuel Injector Cleaner?

Sorry if this has been asked before, but I could not find anything related on this forum.

I have about 10k miles on my bike, I usually like to use Shell V-power, but often while riding in remote areas where premium brands are not available, I end up getting 93 from local gas stations.

I have not used a fuel injector cleaner on my bike yet and I know what low quality fuel can do to a bike's injectors. So my question is:

1. Does BMW recommended a particular brand? For cars, they recommend BMW fuel system cleaner, which is basically Chevron Techron rebranded as BMW and priced double.

2. Anyone using Redline?...heard its pretty good too, but never used.

3. How frequently should a fuel injector cleaner be used? I use it on my cars every 3k miles.

I'll try and not get on my soap box .....

On the vehicles that I street drive or race, about once a year I will use the correct amount of Berrymans. On my race vehicles: Every other year, maybe every 3rd (according to how many events); I will get the injectors bench cleaned and flowed. Someplace like WitchHunter Performance - Injector Cleaning & Flow Testing Services.

Injector cleaners can be easily overused, which causes carbon buildup on the intake valves. You loose performance and mileage.

I don't know about the rest of the USA, but here in central Kentucky, ALL gas comes from the same refinery. Marathon. Doesn't matter what it says on the sign, it is Marathon gas.

The lack of any mechanical issues & with 10k im pretty sure your injectors are not clogged!

Seafoam is a product that ive had great success with. Its sensor safe & safe for your engine when used in the gas as a cleaner & has multiple other engine applications to boot. It lacks the usual large % of alcohols that most other cleaners have that give a false sensation of "power" while using them!

Seafoam will do the trick nicely. It also does an excellent job as a fuel preservative during long periods of storage. I believe the active ingredient is Napha, and you will feel a power increase as you run it through your system in most cases.
