There's more to a 6000 mile service than an oil change

oil
filter
air filter
brake fluid
update software
general check of warranty parts

I do all that as well. BUT, the bike has only 1,300 miles and says SERVICE APRIL in the right window.

6000 miles or a year which ever comes first.

It goes away. What's the big deal? Just bring it in and have them do a portion of the service and have them reset it for next years annual check up.

From what my dealer told me the 6000 mile service is different to the 12 month service.

Not if you want to keep your warranty!

This question must be a wind up? Surely if your clever enough to do all your own servicing you can work out WHY service indicator comes on?
