How much is this going to cost me?
At the dealer for my year maintenance...early but I may not be around in June to ride. Got a letter in the mail last month and bike has been telling I'm due for a check up in July.
Just wondering what's this going to cost me, anyone know?

Thanks for the info. Already back and bill has been paid. Would have been slightly less than £200, but I bought a hat and some lock washers for the fairing.
Is the service interval every year? I looked in the the book and it said in a year or number of miles what ever comes first for my next service.

Can anyone tell me if you need to have the air filter changed on the 1st year service? I have only just gone over 3000 miles so i'm just over half way to the 6000 mile limit. My dealer is quoting £240 plus VAT (they are aware of the mileage). I've yet to ask if the filter is included in the cost. Compared to what some of you have paid my dealer appears way expensive!
Thanks

According to the Service Manual, the interval for the Air Filter is 10,000km (~6,200 miles).

Here's the service schedule. If you haven't hit 6K, all that should be required in the first annual service is an oil/filter change, brake fluid change, and all the various inspections. Don't let them talk you into extra services you don't need. I just had it done on mine and it was about $275 (US) all up with tax and everything.
Annually or every 10K km (6K miles), whichever comes first
- Read fault memory
- Oil/filter change
- Inspect brakes
- Change brake fluid (initially after one year, then every two)
- Check steering head bearing
- Check coolant
- Check throttle free play
- Check clutch fitting, cable, and free play
- Lube clutch pivots
- Check chain, sprockets
- Lube side stand
- Check lights
- Check engine start suppression
- Check battery charge
- Final inspection and road test
Every 10K Km (6K miles)
- Replace air filter
Every 30K Km (18K miles)
- Check valve clearance
- Check valve timing
- Replace spark plugs
- Change fork fluid
- Mark
