Default Best Way

If money is no object and you're willing to drill a hole in the floor, the air operated ones in the below link take the cake in my opinion, They'll spin 360 degrees when up with the bike loaded, come in different styles, and are rated at 1600 pounds capacity. They are expensive though (about $1600 plus shipping from California (about $400 to PA fwiw).

Bestway Hydraulics: Motorcycle Lifts

I have one of the Harbor Freight cheapo foot pump lifts (~ $300) and have no problem with it, though many probably don't like it as the quality isn't as "top of the line" as the much more expensive alternatives. My riding buddy/MC mechanic has a few Italian lifts (forget the name, but well known), and he liked mine well enough to buy two for himself if that means anything.

Hope this helps.

I also have the h.f. version and can vouch for it, used it about 4 years now with zero problems.
