Advice for fitting an airhawk seat cushion

Hi everyone, I've just bought a Motocycle Seats | Gel Seats Motorcycles | Motorbike Gel Seats | AIRHAWK Australia Pty Ltd to make my rear a little less tender from the long riding sessions in the countryside (twisties, sweepers and the freeways to get there).

I was wondering if anyone had any experience with using this or how best to fit it? The site says sideways ... And that it can be place upon the seat or it can be fitted. I'm not sure I like the idea of just resting the cushion on top of the seat ... But I'm also not sure of the logistics in removing the seat and strapping the cushion down either (I've only had the bike a week ...and yes I got a little tender from the first 300 km ride).

The weather is a little impractical for riding right now ( Wild weather wreaks havoc on Victoria ) with literally torrential rain and flash flooding so I can't really just try it out.

Any helpful advice would be gratefully received :-)
