Default Strange noise under 4000 rpm

Hello guys. I got my S1k 5 days ago and it was all good so far. After i get some rain, i decided to wash it and clean the mud that accumulated on rear wheel/swingarm. It happened 2 times.

Yesterday after the second wash, i just went out and, while riding, i heard a strange "tick" noise that happened right after engines rotation's downs to 4000rpm. This "tick" happens once for every time i go down to 4000rpm

Sometimes it happens at 2500rpm, but again, once for everytime i go down that rpm. Havent noticed any kind of noise so far, but, it still persists, and i have no clue of what could have happened.

Maybe i washed any place that couldnt be washed? or am i going paranoic?

Thanks in advance

PS: havent done first service yet...currently with 208km

Might help to put your bike on a rear stand if you have one,and rotate your rear wheel to check your chain firstly, then run the bike on the stand. It might make it easier for you to locate the area where this "tick" is coming from.

my s1k is the standard one, so i might not have this kind of problem

Another thing i forgot to say is, the "tick" comes from somewhere around the panel, down side.

Also, it happens if the bike is on neutral as well. The smart choice, im thinking here, should be call my dealer, relate the problem, and ask for a solution.

Its kinda sad because i left my old GSX-R 750, that brought me a lot of problems (including the battery rectifier that just burned after 6 months of use) hoping that i wouldn't have anymore troubles, since BMW is a renowned brand.

Strange thing is that check control ran fine everytime i started the engine, it must be something mechanical, but what? i dont know...

Maybe the mechanics knows what it could be.

Thanks guys, and cross your fingers, lets hope its not something serious

Sometimes it can be difficult to diagnose certain issues in text format!

Can you offer some any more clues?

Take the panels off & see if you still hear a noise..
Take a large - screwdriver, put the handle part to your ear & the metal part on different parts of the engine to pinpoint the origin of the noise.

I totally understand you, text format is far from being the best way to do it. But its the only way i can do it now...or, i could start the engine, put my cel camera to record, and pump the gas, probably the tick will quietly be heard.

But im not that good in dismounting and remounting bike parts. If i take the panel off, i wont be able to put it in again.

Using a screwdriver could help, but to do it i would have to start the engine, and its like...2:55am here right now, everybody (plus my dogs) are sleeping.

I already mailed my dealer, detailed everything, and now im waiting for an answer by monday.

I'm sorry, i could have detailed it well IF i knew english a bit more (actually, its like technical english, but turned to bikes parts), since its not my main language.

But again, i appreciate all your help, including you Sal. Tomorrow ill try using a screwdriver to see if i can notice anything strange by the engine.

Sounds to me,if you have the standard exhaust, like the exhaust valve(near rh foot peg)is sticking slightly-perhaps you soaked the solenoid motor?
