Default torque settings

HI,can any one tell me the torque settings (nm) for the rear sprocket nuts,i,m replacing them with titanium ones and it said set to manufact/setting .thanks

110 Nm or 81.061 FT/Lb

That is the axle nut torque. He is talking about the bolts holding the rear sprocket to the sprocket carrier.

I think it is something like 40NM--don't quote me on it but it ain't 100.

Sorry Viper, I think this dude is right. This is straight from the RepRom in both the Service Data and Tightening Torque sections.

Service data 0517 - S 1000 RR
Equipment trim-level variant:
0129
-
BMW Motorrad Race ABS and DTC


Chain sprocket to chain-sprocket carrier
M12 x 1.5 - 10, Replace nut
Mechanical thread lock
tighten in diagonally opposite sequence
110 Nm

Nope that is correct info right out of the BMW SERVICE MANUAL!
It is for the nuts that hold the sprocket to the carrier.

If I post, you can bet your ass it is correct info based on current information.

Would be very helpful if someone can look up the torque setting for the bolts that attach the frame sliders.

Rear sprocket to sprocket carrier - 110Nm --> Go to Post #4 -->Torque Specs and then click on "Rear Axle, Rear Wheel Drive and Rear Wheel Guidance"

My bad. Haven't really changed them much yet. That is higher than on the other BMWs with chains but in the S's case it is a much larger sprockey/carrier and chain.
