I replaced mine at 4800 miles. They also survived 3 track days and some 1/4 mile fun.

I paid $167 at the dealer for my new front pads. I replaced them with close to 1mm remaining. I stuck with the Brembo pads because they work well and they lasted long enough to feel satisfied. You might want to lay off the brakes and carry more speed in the corners.

Hi Guys....are there aftermarket sintered brake pads readily available for the S1000RR? What sintered pads do you recommend ???? EBC's Double H, SbS Sintered, Brembo's etc...

Thanks in advance,

There was apost a while ago about the backing pad thickness, think from memory it neeeds to be 4.5mm some aftermarket pads were thinner and could possibly fall out when worn excessively
