I'll be racing with it this weekend so I'll let you know after the weekend if I notice anything. I was using Motul but ran out and my Sponser couldn't get any in time but I may just stick with this due to better deal. One thing about the Motul though was when I removed it after some rough track/race miles it looked brand new.

I use Aimsoil and it's one of my favorites, the only one I like better is Mobil.

I use it! it's good stuff but don't listen to the idiots that say "you don't need to change it" I had one guy tell me he has had it in his truck for 40,000+ miles and he only changes his filter ever 10K!..

it's not that good!!

I change oil in my race bike every 3rd race.. and every 3000 on my street bike!

You too?

I had some construction guy tell me he only changed oil once in his truck and that was at 2,000 miles. He's got 120,000 miles on it now, maybe 1-2 years old and still has the same Amsoil in it that he dumped in at 2,000 miles. He did say he added a quart not long ago and that was his only oil change as far as he was concerned. Same oil filter too. He said he'll throw the truck away at 200,000 miles anyway and get another by next year. He uses the thing daily and drives the heck out of it. Says he doesn't have time to take it in and sit and wait for an oil change. Makes enough money that he doesn't care if it blows up and so far it hasn't.

I've got in it my GT and change it once a year, although the oil analysis said I may be able to go even longer. Came out with a good report from the lab (Blackstone) last week. So far so good and no clutch irregularities that some report like judder and squealing in the GT series. Running their gear oil in the final drive too.

Haven't tried it in the S yet, but I'd be curious how the Q.S. and slipper clutch respond to it. My local independent Harley repair shop nearby sells it for about $8.50/qt. They start about about 10 weight though in their motorcycle grade stuff, nothing as low as 5 weight (I think?).

I bought a case of it and that is what I'm switching to at my next oil change.

The S1KRR is the sixth bike I've used it in. Never had an issue with any of them. Also use Amsoil in my snowmobile. If you pay $10 to be a preferred customer for six months you can save quite a bit of money when you order a case or two at a time.

Notice any difference in the overall shifting of the bike, or when dropping it into first from neutral with the Amsoil? Mine is sort of grabby on the neutral to 1st shift now with whatever oil the dealer used.

Good to know about the $10 savings since I got a few vehicles I could use the stuff in. I don't know if $8.50/qt. I now pay the local guy is on the high end compared to the $10 deal?

Fwiw, Cycle Gear has some deal running where you buy 4 quarts of whatever and the 5th is free.

To me the shifting doesn't seem any different than it did with the factory break in oil. If you aren't buying much oil in a year then your local guy is probably your best best. I bought a couple cases of oil and a case of grease and my saving off retail was $74.90. Of course I won't have to make another purchase for quite a few years
